           Witnessing God's LOVE

                                                                                    Welcome to the website of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beulah, ND. As you surf through the pages of this web site, I hope and wish that you will become more familiar with the Catholic community of St. Joseph Church and will come to know the different activities we have here in our community to enrich our faith filled life. The main goal and mission of our community is TO BRING CHRIST TO BIRTH into OUR day to day life. In our effort to make the incarnation of the WORD a reality again in our daily life, we as one community gather together to break the Word and the Bread. Each time we gather we renew our commitment to take Christ to the world and become the Gospel of Life here and now. This website is another effort of our community to bring out the values of the kingdom of God into today's world. I hope and pray that you also will join us in Gospelizing the world of today.

God is Always With Us! by Michael Dougherty

Stairs and boxes dominate my memories of a recent moving day. Friends and family busily emptied cupboards and packed the accumulated material possessions of a lifetime. Fortunately, my old friend was just moving across town. She would be leaving behind her beloved garden, a home cramped with memories of the children she raised, guests she hosted, and a husband who died, but she won't be losing us. For many of the nearly 50 million North Americans who move every year, though, social networks are disrupted and friendships strained. The Israelites, whom Moses is called to lead in today's first reading, found themselves forced by dire circumstances far from home. Living in oppression and misery in Egypt, they weren't abandoned. Their cries were heard. God intervened.
     The story that follows tells of their time in the wilderness. How they wandered away from God and from the promised goal of a new life in "a land flowing with milk and honey." Though evil befell them, they were not abandoned. The nurturing hand of God was held out to them.
     The gardener in the gospel pleads to save the fig tree. With care it could bloom. In whatever place we find ourselves, however cut off from family and friends, however burdened by sin, we are surrounded by the love and concern of our God. Still able to bloom, we stand on holy ground.

  It is most important that the Holy Eucharist becomes life's focal point:
   that the Eucharistic Savior is the center of existence;
   that every day is received from His hand and laid back
   therein; that the day's happenings are deliberated with Him.

In this way,
    God is given the best opportunity to be heard in the heart,
    to form the soul, and to make its faculties clear-sighted and
    alert from the supernatural.
