August 1, 2010 - The 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Today Jesus reminds us of the passing nature of this life and what we often value greatly, our property and possessions. A STEWARDSHIP DIOCESE: An excerpt from Bishop Zipfel's Pastoral Letter on Stewardship - "A stewardship diocese, therefore, is one that witnesses to the importance of transparency and accountability - in its decision- making, in it development and use of resources, and in all its financial affairs. To be transparent means to let the light of truth shine on us, to admit our mistakes, and to work harder than ever to be faithful stewards of our God-given mission."

SWEET HOME...

YOUR SWEET HOME… THE PASTOR’S STUDY IS A SYMBOL OF THE CALLING OF THE CHRISTIAN MINISTER TO BE THE SHEPHERD OF A FLOCK OF GOD. HERE THE SERMONS ARE PREPARED TO FEED THE CONGREGATION ON GOD’S HOLY WORD. HERE THE WORK OF THE CHURCH IS PLANNED SO THAT THE CONGREGATION MAY GROW IN GRACE AND BEAR FRUIT IN FELLOWSHIP, TEACHING AND WITNESSING. HERE YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND A FRIEND AND COUNSELOR IN TIME OF NEED. HE WILL NOT BE SURPRISED AT YOUR SINS, NOR WILL HE JUDGE YOU IN THEM, BUT HE ALWAYS INVITES YOU TO SHARE WITH HIM, THE WISDOM AND LOVE OF GOD, THE KNOWLEDGE OF FORGIVENESS OF SINS, AND THE SAVING GRACE OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS, OUR LORD. YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME… HERE… YOUR SWEET HOME…
